Alipit PDF does not collect, store, or transmit:

1.2 Local Data Storage

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

• PDF Files: Created PDFs are saved to your device's storage (Downloads folder or your chosen location)
• Purchase Status: Whether you've purchased the Pro version is stored locally using Android SharedPreferences
• App Preferences: Language selection and other settings are stored locally

Important: This local data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third parties.

2. Permissions Explained

Alipit PDF requires the following Android permissions:

2.1 Storage Permissions

• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required to save PDF files to your device's storage
• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO: (Android 13+) Required to select photos from your gallery to convert to PDF

Why we need this: To save the PDFs you create and to let you select images/documents from your device.

2.2 Camera Permission

• CAMERA: Required for the document scanner feature

Why we need this: To scan physical documents using your device's camera. Images are processed locally and never uploaded.

2.3 Internet Permission

• INTERNET: Required for displaying ads (free version) and processing in-app purchases

Why we need this: To show ads in the free version and to verify purchases when you upgrade to Pro.

3. Third-Party Services

Alipit PDF uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

3.1 Appodeal (Advertising Network)

Used in: Free version only (disabled for Pro users)

Purpose: Display reward video ads to support free app functionality

Data Collected by Appodeal:

• Device information (device model, OS version, screen size)
• Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID)
• App usage data (ad interactions, impressions)

4. How Your Data is Used

• File Processing: All PDF creation, merging, and editing happens locally on your device using the PDF library
• Document Scanning: Camera images are processed on-device and converted to PDF locally
• Pro Status: Stored locally to disable ads and enable instant saving
• Advertising (Free Version): Device information is shared with Appodeal to display relevant ads
• Purchases: Transaction data is processed by Google Play for payment verification

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Data sharing is limited to:

• Appodeal: Device information for ad serving (free version only)
• Google Play: Purchase information for payment processing
• No other third parties: Your documents, images, and created PDFs are never shared with anyone

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

6. Data Security

• Local Processing: All file operations are performed locally on your device with no server uploads
• No Cloud Storage: We do not store any of your data on our servers (we don't have any servers)
• Offline Functionality: The app works 100% offline (except for ads and initial purchase verification)
• Secure Payments: All payments are processed through Google Play's secure infrastructure

Your Responsibility: The security of files saved on your device depends on your device's security settings. We recommend using device encryption and screen locks.

7. Children's Privacy

• Reset Advertising ID: Android Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID
• Remove Ads Completely: Upgrade to Pro (one-time $2 purchase)

9. International Users

Alipit PDF is available worldwide. All data processing occurs on your device, regardless of your location. If you use the free version with ads:

• Appodeal may transfer your advertising data internationally
• Google Play processes payments according to your region's regulations
• No data is transferred by us to any servers

GDPR Compliance (EU Users): Since we don't collect or process personal data, GDPR data subject rights are not applicable to our app directly. For advertising data, please review Appodeal's GDPR policy.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
